The Great Bieszczady Loop, a road, also called the Great Bieszczady Bypass, was built by the army in 1955-1962. The purpose of this construction was to restore normal life to areas cut off from the world, which had come to a standstill after Operation Wisła in 1947. The Loop Route leads through the highest and most beautiful parts of the Bieszczady Mountains.
